EJIGBO COUNCIL BOSS ENGAGES IFOSHI, FALANA RESIDENTS,WARNS SHOP OWNERS AGAINST DISRUPTING THE WALK WAYS

Story by Iyiola Ayomide

The Executive Chairman of Ejigbo Local Council Development Area, Alhaji Monsurudeen Oloyede Bello (OBE) on Tuesday 4th of June, 2024 engaged the residents of Ifoshi and Falana at the Newly constructed Ejigbo LCDA Council Secretariat Hall NNPC Junction Ejigbo.

The engagement was in respect of non-chalant attitude of some road users and shop owners within the area of these newly constructed roads Ifoshi and Falana.

Alhaji Monsurudeen stated that he believe the residents know the position of the road before it was re-constructed. The two roads are State Government road but because of economic impact, navigating other areas within Ejigbo and outskirt and support of good people of Ejigbo particularly in that area, we have no option than to construct them. As it will also improve the standard of living and our services.

We are all residents of Ejigbo and we all know what Ejigbo was in the last 5, 7 years ago but today we give glory to God that Ejigbo has witnessed tremendous development.

He said we are coming from a bad level but today Ejigbo has really been reshaped to a better environment than what it use to be.

He then warned shop owners from displaying their products, and creating skeleton extension on the walk ways. He noted that there is going to be an enforcement unit that would be saddled with the responsibility of checkmating whoever that is culpable of such indifferent attitude and the likes such as putting fire on the road, turning the road to mechanic workshop e.t.c.

What we are demanding from the residents is to take ownership of the road and report whoever that engage in any wrong activities on the road said the Council Boss.
