As the    nationwide protest against hardship entered the 5th day,  the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, through its President, Comrade Joe Ajaero has commended the Edo state Commissioner of Police, Mr Funsho Adegboye for a good job done so far.
In a press statement issued last Saturday, AJaero, while condemning some of the nation's police chiefs over unprofessional conduct during the first 3 days of the protest, rated Adegboye hiigh as  " he represent the best in crowd management"
Ajaero disclosed that the Edo state wisdom in interacting and cajoling the protesters brought them under control.
He, however, berated some police chiefs for the wanton taking of lives by trigger-happy police personnel. He made reference to the situation in Asokoro in Abuja, alleged that protesters were heard querying why the police were shelling or tear gassing them as they were marching solemnly without breaking a twig.
Ajaero called on  the authority to fish out all policemen and their commanders with blood stains in their hands for appropriate disciplinary  action.
It would be recalled that the Inspector-general of Police, IGP, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun had, two weeks ago, on a familiarisation  tour of Edo state,  commended the police boss for his crime bursting and community policing methodology.
Ajaero demands that the cops and commanders with blood stains in their hands must be fished out for appropriate disciplinary action.
