The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Plateau State yesterday, Sunday, April 20, 2025, intercepted a man in possession of a firearm at a church premises in Bokkos Local Government Area.
Crime Watch Newspaper report by security expert Zagazola Makama said that that the incident occurred at about 8:30 a.m., when operatives of the NSCDC, acting on intelligence, apprehended the suspect during a routine security patrol around a church compound
“The suspect was found in possession of a gun and could not provide any satisfactory explanation or legal documentation for it. The swift action of our operatives helped prevent what could have escalated into a serious security breach,” Zagalo quoted a source as saying.
He added that the identity of the suspect had not yet been to be disclosed, pending the conclusion of preliminary investigations.
