CP IBRAHIM ADAMU BAKORI PhD RECEIVES A COURTESY VISIT FROM THE VC OF YUSUF MAITAMA SULE FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF EDUCATION, KANO

On 24th July, 2025, the Commissioner of Police, Kano State Command, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, PhD, sfipma, mnim, mnips, masis received a courtesy visit from the Vice Chancellor of Yusuf Maitama Sule Federal University of Education, Kano, Dr. Sadi Muhammad Surajo, accompanied by members of his senior management team. 



2.  The visit demonstrates the Command's commitment to fostering collaborative relationships with educational institutions towards ensuring pubic safety and security in Kano State Schools. This is also in line with the Inspector-General of Police Safe School Initiatives aimed at ensuring a peaceful teaching and learning environment. 


3.  During the visit, Dr. Surajo extended a warm welcome to the Commissioner of Police and expressed sincere appreciation for the Command's support to the University community. He also commended the exemplary efforts of the Police in Kano, noting that they have been providing the enabling environment for education and businesses to flourish.



4.  In his response, the Commissioner of Police appreciated the visit and assured the Vice Chancellor of the Command's continued support to the university. He emphasized the importance of collaboration between the Police and the academic community in addressing security challenges and promoting a safe environment conducive to learning and growth. The CP stressed that policing is now community-oriented as directed by the Inspector-General of Police, hence the need for joint efforts to prevent and combat crime.



5.  The visit was concluded with a commitment to explore further avenues for partnership that promote peace and security in Kano State.
