The profile of Ambassador Aare Jonathan Ojidah, celebrated global diplomat and peacebuilder, continues to soar as he receives yet another distinguished recognition. The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Lagos State Council, Correspondents’ Chapel, has named him a special honouree and guest speaker at its highly anticipated 2025 Press Week.
The landmark event is slated for Saturday, August 30, 2025, at the prestigious Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) Conference and Exhibition Hall, Alausa, Ikeja.
Ambassador Ojidah will address a critical theme of our time:
“Journalism and the Fight Against Misinformation in a Digital Age.”
As misinformation and fake news threaten both democracy and national development, his wealth of experience in diplomacy, leadership, and peace-building is expected to offer journalists, policymakers, and stakeholders fresh insights on how to safeguard truth and professionalism in the media.
The 2025 Press Week will also feature the unveiling of the maiden edition of the Correspondents’ Chapel Magazine, a publication dedicated to amplifying journalistic excellence and innovation in Nigeria.
Meanwhile, on the international stage, Ambassador Ojidah continues to break new ground. The Government of Kenya, in collaboration with the United International Peace and Governance Council (UNIPGC), has announced plans to host the 15th Edition of the Pan-African Leadership Symposium and Honours (PALESH KENYA 2026).
The symposium is billed to be one of Africa’s most remarkable gatherings, spotlighting Adaptive Leadership, Non-Kinetic Approaches to Sustainable Peace-Building, Investment Promotion, and Strengthening Democratic Governance. Ambassador Ojidah’s role as a global convener underscores his growing influence in shaping conversations that matter for Africa and the world.
