Late Deacon Ayo Ositelu was the first Pioneer elected Chairman of Ejigbo LCDA. Late Deacon Ositelu was a veteran sports writer and a Journalist.
As one of the country’s pioneer sports journalists working in the print media, late Ositelu brought an articulateness and depth of analysis that had previously been uncommon in the profession.
Late Deacon Ositelu took sports journalism to new levels in his extended analysis of tennis, soccer and other sports. He (Late Deacon Ayo Ositelu) was blessed with an eye for the quirky and the unusual and could draw upon an almost-faultless mental encyclopaedia to draw out the significance of particular landmarks in sporting history. Late Deacon Ositelu was Nigeria's foremost Sport Analyst and a commentator.
As today marks the 13th year anniversary of late Deacon Ayo Ositelu, Hon Kehinde Oladapo Kolade Bamigbetan (KOK) made a visit to Mrs Ositelu today, 9th of January 2026. She prayed for the success of KOK's campaign to the MHR.
May God Almighty continue to rest the soul of late Deacon Ayo Ositelu and may He continue to bless the family he left behind.
