The Comptroller of Immigration Service, Plateau State Command, CIS
GC NKANGWUNG PCC on zoth to 23rd of August, 2024 embarked on a cleansing exercise where irregular migrants ni the state were apprehended, profiled and repatriated today, 27th August, 2024 to Niger Republic and Guinea via the Jibia Border Command and Seme Control Post.
In the course of the raid, twenty four (22) Nigeriens and two (2)
Guineans within the age range of 19 to ss years old were caught, as they have been on the watch list of Plateau State Command, of whom are part
of a body who engage in illegal activities in the state.
Amidst those apprehended, are drug dealers/ sellers, political thugs, and those who engage in illegal activities within the state. It is important to state that these persons have no valid travel documents or resident
permits.
The exercise which will be carried out at regular intervals in line with the mandate and vision of the Comptroller-General of Immigration Service
in the area of National Security in the country.
The command acknowledges the assistant of the state
government in the
exercise.
