The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has apprehended 37 suspected internet fraudsters in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, as part of "Operation Eagle Sweep". The arrests were made on April 8, 2025, following credible intelligence on the suspects' activities in various hideouts.
*Recovered Items:*
- *Exotic Vehicles*: Different brands and models
- *Smartphones and Smart Wristwatches*: Various brands
- *International Passports*: Multiple passports recovered
- *ATM Cards*: Cards from different banks
- *Laptops*: Containing incriminating materials and documents
The suspects are linked to alleged internet fraud and will face court proceedings once investigations conclude. The EFCC's efforts highlight their commitment to tackling cybercrime and promoting a safe online environment .
