The Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) Zone 2 Command, Mr Adegoke Fayoade on Wednesday, 11th September 2025, convened a high-level security meeting with CP Lanre Ogunlowo of Ogun State Command, CP Moshood Jimoh of Lagos State Command, along with their respective Deputy Commissioners of Police in charge of Operations.The meeting focused on strengthening security measures in anticipation of the heightened activities typically associated with the ember months.
Key areas of concern include commercial centers, Religious worship centers, schools, highways, motor parks, social hubs, etc.AIG Fayoade emphasized the importance of inter-agency collaboration, community engagement, continuous personnel training on the responsible use of firearms, and strict adherence to the rule of law.
