The People's Security Monitor in its consistent ways of furthering national dialogue have organized its annual security summit and recognition award with the aim to coordinate expert discussions on ways by which stakeholders from all walks of life can collectively solve security conundrums in the nation ranging from kidnapping , banditry , terrorism, religious extremism , gender based violence , vandalism , theft of critical national assets and infrastructure, youth restlessness and many more .
The Chairman Organizing Committee of the award, Alh Isiaka Mustapha during his welcome speech of the Summit says no to foreign intervention over Nigeria's security challenges, but however, proposes unity , institutional renewal and collective collaborations in putting an end to the menace of insecurity .
The keynote speaker , Controller General of Federal Fire Service , Samuel Olomode in his lecture called for institutional renewal as one of the germaine solutions to the security challenges of Nigeria. He says under his watch his administration will continue to focus on robust welfare standard for his staff , training of personnel , community sensitization and many more .
The summit brings together de creme de la creme of security services from the Ministry of Defence, Police, NSCDC, Information and Orientation, Media and Businesses to discuss possible solutions to the emerging threats to Nigeria's national security and countries around the world .
The summit and recognition award is being organized every year by the publisher of People's Security Monitor Magazine, Alhaja Isiaka Mustapha .
The Public Relations Officer , Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps ( NSCDC ), Lagos State Command Superintendent of Corps Oluwaseun O. Abolurin, at the summit and award ceremony, which holds at the Nigeria National Merit Award House, Maitama, Abuja , today , Wednesday bags the outstanding Public Relations Officer of the year 2025.
The Acting Commandant General Hillary Kelechi Madu ( rtd ), who also delivers an incredible speech on the crucial role of the NSCDC in the Security Architecture of Nigeria . He also presents the distinguished service award of excellence in information management and public trust to the Lagos PRO of the NSCDC, SC Oluwaseun Abolurin .
The Chairman Organizing Committee of the award, Alh Isiaka Mustapha further affirmed during the award presentations to deserving personnel that the prestigious recognition of the Lagos State PRO of the NSCDC is a testament of his professionalism,
integrity, and tireless commitment to public communication excellence
within the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC). His
remarkable skill in managing information, engaging the media, and
promoting public awareness on security matters has greatly enhanced the
visibility and credibility of the Corps, particularly in Lagos State.
His leadership, humility, and consistent service reflect the values of
dedication and patriotism that inspire your colleagues and elevate the
image of the Corps nationwide.
Prior to this award he is the convener of the NSCDC Lagos PR Clinic and a multiple award in Criminology, Security Management , Cooperative Society Administration, Administrative and Youth Leadership, Overall best of the first ( 1st ) NSCDC Command and Staff College Course in Lamingo, Jos, Plateau State , Public Relations' Excellence Awards with local and international participations and research presentations with various reputable institutions; INGOS such as; CIPDI USA and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime ( UNODC ) and many more. He holds multiple fellowship and membership certificates of various prestigious international and local institutions such as ICSS, ISSS and NIPR and many more. He also holds the 3rd Commandant General NSCDC'S prestigious Recommendation Letter for hardwork and dedication to duty.
